What is the Aquavista 100?

Aquavista 100 is a sleek low-voltage (12V) aquarium that looks like a flat screen 19 inch LCD monitor that is perfect for any tabletop or bookshelf.  Measuring 17” x 10” x 4” (l x w x h), the AV100 unit holds up to 2.4 gallons of water and is self-contained, low-maintenance, and preassembled with LED lighting and water filtration system.  The Aquavista 100 includes an interchangeable vivid 3D submersible background and magnetic designer picture frame.

What does the Aquavista 100 come with?

The Aquavista 100 is totally self-contained and comes pre-assembled with filtration and LED overhead lighting. Our aquarium technology (filtration and lighting) is built into the system, so you do not need to worry about complex set up or instructions.

The Aquavista 100 also includes: 3D-like submersible background, magnetic picture frame, gravel, AC adapter, and a filter cartridge (Attached to the water pump)

Can I hang the Aquavista 100 aquarium?

Aquavista 100 is not a wall mounted aquarium.  It sits perfectly on any desk, counter, or book shelf.

Can I change my AV100 background?

The Aquavista 100 patented background can easily be changed in minutes.  To change the background, remove the black rubber stoppers and slide in the new background behind the older background. After the new background has been inserted, secure the background using the rubber stoppers and pull out the old background.

*Please note that Aquavista’s backgrounds are patented and printed on a special material that makes them water submersible.  You will not be able to use any background you find at the local store.

Can I create a customized background?

You can create a personal background and turn your favorite photograph, logo, or image(s) into vibrant customized 3D backgrounds for the Aquavista 100.  The Aquavista 100’s slim profile makes it the ideal living picture frame on your desk or in your bookshelf.  To learn more about creating a custom background, click here.

What is the Aquavista aquarium made of?

The Aquavista 500 is designed and made with shatter-resistant ABS plastic and acrylic materials and top quality electronics. Our frames are made from wood (Classic) or high quality ABS plastic (Modern).

Can I change my frame?

We currently offer a wide selection of colored magnetic picture frames for the Aquavista 100.  Our frames are magnetically attached, so changing is so easy that it can be done with one hand.  You can purchase additional frames and change any time.  Click here to see our frame selection for the AV100.

What kind of fish should I keep in the Aquavista 100?

We recommend any freshwater fish for your Aquavista 100, such as tropical fish or goldfish. It is not recommended to combine tropical fish and goldfish in the same aquarium.

Below are some recommended fish for Aquavista 500:

Community fish: Platys, Tetras, Mollies, Guppies, Neons 

Semi-aggressive fish: Danios, Tiger / Green / Gold Barbs 

Goldfish: Any fancy goldfish (Oranda, fancy tail gold fish, etc.) or regular goldfish (feeder fish etc.)

Other Tropical Fish: Betta fish (best kept alone)

How many fish can I keep in the Aquavista 100?

You should start with one or two fish to start up the Aquavista 100 aquarium. Total number of fish will vary depending on the size of fish.  The recommended number is one inch of fish per gallon, though the filtration should support more than 3 fish after proper biological filtration has been built up over one month.

Can I place saltwater fish in Aquavista 100?

The Aquavista 100 is designed for freshwater fish only.  It is not saltwater compatible.

Can I put any live plants or decorations in the Aquavista 100 tank?

The Aquavista 100 is not recommended for live plants, as they need special lighting and care.  If you are interested in a planted tank, please take a look at our Aquavista Panoramic Wall Aquarium, which comes with proper lighting and carbon dioxide generator.

What kind of maintenance should I do for Aquavista 100 Aquarium?

(1) It is recommended to replace the filter cartridge in the Aquavista 100 every four weeks.  Additional filter cartridges can be purchased through our store or through one of our reseller partners. 

(2) The water in the aquarium will evaporate, so you should add about 1 cup of water per week to maintain the water level.

(3) Wipe down screen with clean sponge as necessary

(4) Change 4 cups of water every 4-6 weeks

What is your return policy?

We want you to be fully satisfied with your living art.  We pride ourselves in providing the best customer experience, so if you are not happy with your Aquavista, you can return it.  For more information on our return policy, click here.

What is the Aquavista 100’s warranty?

The unit comes with a one year limited warranty on the aquarium body and six month warranty on the electrical parts with proof of purchase.  Not covered in the warranty are filter sponge cartridges and lights.  We stand by our product, so even if it is after your warranty period, you should always contact us if you ever need any support.  There is usually a simple solution, and we will always do our best to help.
